Nestled on the Western Slope of the picturesque Colorado Rockies, the GR Bar Ranch offers week-long vacations that people dream about but seldom experience. When you arrive, you will feel as though you have landed in the middle of a private paradise. You will have countless outdoor adventures to choose from - including horseback riding, private lake fishing (no license required), mountain biking, hiking, boating, and more!

It is also a photographer's paradise with unique mountain views and wildflowers galore; and when you are ready to retire, you will be at least ¼ mile to 1 ½ miles from another cabin.

A WEEK IN PARADISE

Saturday Noon - Friday Noon (7days and 6 nights!). Relax and rejuvenate in one of our unique private cabins at the GR Bar Ranch. Each cabin accomodates 4 adults. Cabin reservations can be booked at any time depending on availability.Weekly vacations run during summer months from Memorial Day through September.

Travel by car

We are located on the Western Slope of the Colorado Rockies. From Denver, guests will have an absolutely gorgeous 5-hour drive to the ranch. While driving along I-70, you will pass through Eisenhower Tunnel before driving through the Vail Valley and continuing west to Glenwood Springs where you will switch course and continue the awe-inspiring drive along the beautiful Crystal River, over McClure Pass and alongside the stunning Paonia Reservoir. Once guests arrive in Paonia, we will assist you with the final travel arrangements needed to reach your private cabin.

Travel by air

If you are flying, there are several airports to consider. Please follow the links provided below for more information on the airport that will best suit your travel plans.

Private Flights. North Fork Valley Airport

Commercial Flights. Montrose Regional Airport and Grand Junction Regional Airport, both are equal distance to Paonia. Denver International Airport is perfect for travelers who would like to experience the awe-inspiring 5-hour drive from Denver to the Ranch. (See “travel by car” for driving directions.)
